Automotive technical training Certified technician position requirements range from 2
years of experience as an automotive technician to 7
years' experience as a manufacturer-certified dealership technician Non-certified positions require mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn to 1-2 years of experience as an automotive technician General mechanical skills, manual dexterity and ability to operate power and hand tools, and other types of machinery Knowledge of the automotive repair life cycle Attention to detail; organization and follow-up skills Your own set of tools (non-certified technicians typically are not required to have tools) Valid in-state driver's license, and acceptable, safe driving record Reached the age of 18 or older The JobAt AutoNation, getting customers back on the road is what drives us.
As an Auto Technician, you'll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
